Change a scooter pot for aesthetics and noise

Change a scooter pot, because it is at the end of its life

Whether it is badly dented or simply has a hole following a fall for example, your pot will make a terrible noise. For once, there is no way to miss this noise, even if you have never heard it.

To do this, what we will advise you is to take a basin that you will fill with mineral spirits F. Once this is done, soak the different parts of your pot.
Let everything sit for a few minutes and take a toothbrush to be able to scrub and remove the various dirt that would have remained after this bath. Then let the parts dry and you can reinstall them.

- Provide the right equipment: a basin, a toothbrush, mineral spirits
- Wait for it to cool down
- Take it apart
- Soak it a little in a basin of mineral spirits
- Make the finishes by rubbing with a toothbrush
- Put it back
How to change a scooter pot?
Whether it's to change a scooter pot or just descal it, you are going to have to take it apart anyway and maybe you don't know how to go about it.
For this it's simple, make sure that the pot is cooled so as not to burn yourself. Then remove the nuts that are on the cylinder. Next, find the pot fixing plate.
Detach it by unscrewing the screws that allow it to hold. You should now be able to get the jar out. That's it, it's very simple and it will only take a few minutes, even for a beginner.
Once you have worked on your pot or you want to change a scooter pot, all you have to do is repeat the same operations in reverse order!
To change a pot, you must:
- Wait for your scooter to cool down
- Take a set of wrench and remove the fasteners to the engine
- Do the same with the side fixing clip
- Unscrew the last screws that may remain
